Christmas

Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas. We had a wonderful time, and thoroughly enjoyed our first Christmas with the triplets. Here are a few pictures, and I will upload a few more once I get home. Nate and I came to the beach with my family. My dad rented a house for a week and my sister and Ricky, and Erick, Janna and the kids are here as well. Hope you all enjoy your holidays.

2 Month Appointment

Hello all,
Yesterday we had our 2 month well baby check up and the kids are doing great. Thank you to grandma Sarah for coming with us. They got their vaccines, so it was nice to have one adult to hold each baby. They are all on the regular growth charts which was our goal, as they weren't on the charts when they were born. Olivia is between the 25th-30th percentile for both height and weight. Hunter is around the 30th for height and 60th for weight, and Cooper is around the 30th for both height and weight.
Here are their heights and weights:

Olivia: 9 lbs 14 oz, 22 inches
Hunter: 12 lbs 2 oz, 22.5 inches
Cooper: 10 lbs 14 oz, 22.5 inches

I'll try to post updated photos later. Hope you are all having a wonderful week! Nate started his new job today....very exciting! Good luck daddy!

Look how much we've grown

The babies are now 8 weeks old, and are getting so big. Hunter has moved from 0-3 month clothing to 3-6 month clothing already. I can't wait to go to the dr. next week to find out how much they weigh. Here are some recent pictures compared to what they looked like in the hospital.

This is Hunter in the hospital and then this morning sleeping. I only have this picture of him today because he hasn't been awake much. He slept 9 hours straight last night...woohoo! After his 9:00 feeding he didn't wake up until nearly 6:30 this morning.
Cooper in the hospital and........

Cooper this morning. He was a smiley boy. He is easy to get pictures of because he is always awake.

Olivia now! She is getting so grown up already. Thanks Kristi for the darling bows!

Just another day

I've been having so much fun taking care of these three sweet babies. They have been sleeping pretty well at night. Olivia and Hunter have been sleeping between 5-7 hours straight, and Cooper is usually between 4-5 hours. Nate and I usually have to get up once or twice to feed. We can't wait until they are all sleeping 10-12 hours at the same time! They have been very smiley this morning, so I thought I would take a few pics. Olivia was the only one I caught smiling on camera. Enjoy! Last night Brett and Tracy brought us dinner and Tracy fed Cooper....thanks guys!

Shopping

Today Mamo came back and we went to do some Christmas shopping. It was a fun day! The comments people make are so funny. One lady who had a 5 week old couldn't believe we had three newborns. She asked what we did when they wouldn't stop crying and you have to rock them to sleep. I said well we haven't had that problem yet. She was in awe. I was too, as I can't imagine if we had to do that. Here are some pics from today. These are the sweaters that Joanne Buckhotz, who is a grandmother of one of my mom's students made. Thanks Joanne! You can also see Cooper's booties. They were made by one of my grandmother's friends and matched perfectly. Thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The triplets first Thanksgiving was great! We went to Aunt Marcia's and Uncle Frank's house. We went early on Tuesday to spend time with the family and celebrate Nate's birthday. We got to see Erick and Janna and their family, as well as Allison since they weren't with us on Thanksgiving Day this year. I posted some pictures yesterday of my niece and nephews holding the triplets. We had 8 kids under the age of 4 this year......fun!! Thank you Mamo for getting up with the triplets at night and letting daddy sleep. Thank you Grandma Sarah for taking such great care of the triplets at Thanksgiving and giving mommy time to just hang out. Thank you Auntie Suz and Grandpa for feeding and holding the triplets. We love you all!!!

Bath Time

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated the blog. I haven't really taken any recent pictures, so I haven't been able to update. Today I took a picture after their bath in their cute towels Candace bought them from Pottery Barn. Tomorrow we leave for my parents' house for Thanksgiving. It's our first real road trip...even though it's only an hour and a half. It's the longest trip we've taken so far. I hope it all goes well. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Three Peas in a Pod

Yesterday Uncle Gene and Auntie Adrienne came with Frankie and AJ to visit with Hunter, Cooper and Olivia. They brought us a yummy lunch and dinner. And of course, they came to see mommy and daddy too. However, we are no longer the main attraction. Auntie Allison and Uncle Chris came to look for a place to live because they are moving here....yay!! We had so much fun visiting with everyone. Thank you!

Feeding All Three

This morning we had another first.....I fed all three at once! Wow....what a time saver. Unfortunately I haven't quite got the burping down yet when feeding all at once. Last night was another great night. They all slept 6 hours straight, then another 3 after feeding them. That was good because the night before the boys were up every couple of hours.....fussy with gas. Olivia was given infant gas drops and she slept 7.5 hours straight. So needless to say last night all three got the gas drops and what a huge difference.....I love these drops!!
All three on my bed this morning getting ready to eat.

Cooper with the new bottle prop I bought on ebay. I have to get 2 more of these!
Olivia after eating....sound asleep.
Hunter is getting a double chin.
Cooper is just looking around like usual.

6 Hours of Sleep

Last night they all slept 6 hours straight....woohoo! Nate and I woke up to feed them all at once, and put them back down for another 4 1/2 hours. They have been doing so great. Everyone keeps asking me how much sleep we're getting and surprisingly we've been getting quite a bit...we're just hoping it continues. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Mommy and Daddy are solo

Well my mom left last night to go back to my dad. She was a great help and she will be missed. She is coming back for 2 days next week.....yay! Last night went well. They all went to bed after their 10:30 feeding and slept until about 3am. They went back down until 7:30 this morning, except for Cooper. He was up with daddy at 5:30. Things are going great this morning. It's 9:30, they've all been fed, and I even got a shower! They are all sleeping soundly....thank goodness they are not fussy babies. We are very fortunate. Anyway, here is a picture of Cooper in our bed after his feeding.

Fashion Show for Daddy

We couldn't help but have a fashion show for daddy when he got home. Olivia got back into her Christmas dress and let Mamo take some pictures....she was quite a good sport given the amount of photos she'd already taken today.

Getting Their Pictures Taken

Well today we took Olivia, Hunter, and Cooper to get their photos taken. It was quite an experience. The photographer wanted them to sit up, and being so young, this was difficult for them, and they hated it! So the only pictures that really turned out were the one where they were laying down in their stockings. I wasn't going to post them here because we are using a similar one for our Christmas card, but I changed my mind. :) My mom took this one on her camera after the photographer was done.

Please remind me NEVER to take them to get their photos taken alone......it's a good thing I had my mom. We were both sweating by the time we were finished. We definitely need 3 people next time!!!

3 Weeks Old

Olivia, Hunter, and Cooper are three weeks old today....YAY! We went to the doctor to check their weights and development. As I was checking in at the counter, Mamo was steering the triplet stroller away from the crowd. She was bombarded with people who wanted to take a peek at the triplets. Mamo is more protective than mommy and was practically running away with the stroller. She was so afraid someone was going to try to touch them. Luckily, no one did. Although, it seemed people couldn't get enough of the triplets. Once we got into the office, I think Mamo was relieved. Everything looked great with the babies. The dr. said he is now treating them as full term babies, so we don't have to go back for 6 weeks! He said their necks are unbelievably strong for their age, and their weights were wonderful. Here are their weights as of today. Keep in mind they want to see a gain of 1/2 an ounce a day, so ours should have gained 3.5 ounces since their last appt.

Olivia: 6 lbs. (gain of 11 ounces)
Cooper: 6 lbs. 2 oz. (gain of 10 ounces)
Hunter: 7 lbs. 2 oz. (gain of 16 oz....a whole pound in a week!!!)
