The Boys get their first Haircut

Here are a few photos from our first salon experience with the kiddos. Unfortunately, Olivia didn't have enough hair to cut, so it was just the boys. Nate came down from the winery and Zia also came with us. The boys were great for their first haircut. I think they LOVED sitting in the chair, so it didn't bother them that someone was cutting their hair.

Eating with Spoons

We are now practicing how to eat with utensils...what fun! It is quite a bit more messy, but way more fun. Here is a video of the boys. Liv is not so interested.

Hunter walking

Here is a quick glimpse of Hunter walking. He is actually better than this video, but he had just woken up from a 2 1/2 hour nap....he's definitely my sleeper. I'll try to get a better one in the next couple of days.

Goodbye Bottles...

It's official, we are off ALL bottles and formula! The babies have been drinking whole milk for about a week now. We started them off using bottles, and then this week we took away their bottles, and they are only using their sippy cups. I can't believe they are old enough to not have a bottle. So, I guess it's time for me to admit that I really do have toddlers now....no more babies. They are all taking several steps. Liv has been taking steps for a month now, so we're just waiting for her to be a full time walker. I think the most steps in a row is Liv, although Hunter is walking the most on his own. Cooper seems to know he can still get places faster by crawling. He is walking a bit, but mostly still crawling. Here are a few recent pics of the kids and a videos of them walking. I'll post Hunter's video tomorrow. It's too late to wait for another one to upload.

Weekend pics

I know I still need to post pics from their birthday party, and I have a video to post too. I promise to do that soon. In the meantime, here are a few pics from the weekend. On Saturday Zia and I took the kids to the Harvest Parade in St. Helena in their new wagon from Grandpa and Mamo....they were perfect! We had so much fun. We can't wait until next year, as they will be able to do more of the kid stuff.

Tonight Nate and I went to Ook's house with Uncle Brett and Aunt Tracy for tacos. He has a big empty from room that the kids really enjoyed. Delicious dinner Ook.....thanks for having us!

One Year Check Up

Yesterday they babies had their one year doctor's appointment and vaccines. It was so sad to watch them cry so hard when their sweet little legs got stuck with a need THREE times! I was almost in tears too!! Anyway, many, many thanks to all our helpers at the doctor (Auntie Kat, Zia, Grandma Sarah, and of course, daddy took time out of his busy harvest schedule to be there). The babies are looking good.

Hunter is in the 95% for height at just over 32 inches, and weighed in at 24 lbs, 11 oz.
Cooper is just about an inch shorter than Hunter at 31 inches, and weighs 23 lbs, 8 oz, but he has the biggest head! His head measured 50cm...off the charts!!!
Liv is still our smallest at 21 pounds, and 29.5 inches.

It's so hard for me to believe that a year ago this journey was just beginning. I can honestly say the past 12 months have been the most incredible, best days of my life thus far. I am so in love with my amazing husband, and our three beautiful children. I see Nate with new eyes now that he is a father. I love to watch him with our kids.....he is such a wonderful devoted daddy. We are all so blessed to have each other and our incredible families. Thank you all for being part of our lives.

Engaged!

My beautiful little sister, Suzanne, is engaged! Her and her boyfriend, Ricky, came to the triplets birthday party and spent a few days here in Napa. We couldn't be happier that Ricky is joining our family, as we love him! He is so wonderful with my children and he and Suz make a PERFECT couple. Really, if you knew the both of them you would know that they are incredibly compatible. Congratulations to Suz and Ricky! Here is a pic of them with the kids at Antica.

Olivia LOVES climbing up the slide and is just starting to go back down. They all love this toy from Uncle E and TeTe! Thanks for letting us barrow your playhouse Stella!

Hunter and his Beanie

Hunter found my dad's John Deere beanie and is completely obsessed with it. Here is a video of it.

Their 1st birthday is coming.....

Hello all,
Lots of people have been asking me what the triplets want for their birthday, and when their party is. We are celebrating their birthday party a week early on October 4th. I will be sending out invites in the next couple of days. We appreciate our faithful followers, but know not everyone would like to go to a 1st birthday party. If we left you out and would like to come, we would LOVE to have you! Send me an email at weistrips@gmail.com. Please remember, they don’t really NEED anything, so don’t feel like you have to give them a gift if you come to the party. We just really want you there to celebrate. If you’d like to get them a gift, here is a list I have started for all of you that keep asking me what to get them. I will add to it, as I think of things.

-bath time toys
-bath toy storage (bug pod)
-winter clothes, especially Olivia. The boys are wearing 18-24 months, but Liv is 12-18 months. If it’s winter clothes, you may need to go up to the next size. Hard to say. Depends on the brand.
-shoes (size 3 and 4) They aren’t walking yet, but I assume they will be soon!
-Some sort of playhouse….they loved Stella’s when we went to visit.
-Step 2 Wagon for Two Plus AND trailer. We really, really want the Choo Choo wagon for three, but they discontinued it! :(
-Gift cards are always nice. :) We are finally getting a Kohl's here!!!

That’s it for now….

Portraits by Angie Lane

The following pictures were taken by Angie Lane, a professional photographer in Stockon....she was great! These may be a little fuzzy. Angie's actual photos are MUCH better quality. She did say it was okay to post a few on my blog.

In the pool in the backyard

Hey all, I know it's been a while since I've posted....sorry Peggy! Here are a few pics from outside today.

As you can see, Cooper has a mouth full of teeth. He got his first two teeth at five months, and shortly after got several more. He now has 8 teeth! He was the first to crawl at 8 1/2 months. His brother and sister learned about a week later. He loves to play with his brother and sister, and really LOVES to steal their toys.

Liv still only has two teeth. She is just as cute as can be. She's so sweet, and loves books. She can really care less about toys. Give her a few diapers and some wipes and she's in hog heaven!

Hunter is quickly catching up to Cooper in teeth count. He now has 6 with 2 more just popping through. He was not interested in crawling at first. Then after watching Cooper for about a week, he decided he would just crawl. No scooting or rocking.....straight to crawling! He is very verbal and definitely lets you know when he wants something....it's usually food!

More Aptos pics

Here are a few more pics of the beach today. We have really lucked out with the weather this week....it's been beautiful. We are having so much fun! It couldn't have been a better vacation unless daddy was here. We miss daddy so much, but we know we will be so excited to see him when we get home Friday morning. Daddy, we hope you enjoy these pictures and we can't wait to see you on Friday! You will be so surprised to see that all three of us are crawling, and Cooper is even crawling up the stairs! Wil patiently taught him how to do that.
We love you,
Hunter, Cooper, and Olivia
