28 weeks, 5 days-Dr. Appointment

Today we had another doctor's appointment. Things are going well, aside from my complete discomfort! Babies look great. They are growing on target, have plenty of fluid, and are constantly kicking each other. My cervix is holding strong at 4.2, which is great. The dr. thinks I will make it to at least 34 weeks as long as things stay this way. My blood platelet count is low, but he doesn't seem to be worried. They are current 114, and if they get below 100, I won't be allowed to do an epidural, so I'll have to have general anesthesia. So we're hoping it stays above 100. As far as the babies growth, here are their weights this week. I was hoping they'd be over 3 pounds each, but it's only been a week.

Baby A: 2 lbs. 14 oz. (no longer the smallest)
Baby B: 3 lbs.
Baby C: 2 lbs. 12 oz.

So all is well. I'm heading off to my parents on Saturday since it's getting too hard to take care of myself, and Nate starts harvest on Saturday. So I'll be back and forth for dr.'s appointments and to visit my busy husband!

We had a hard time getting pics again today since the babies were face down. Here is the only one we could get of Olivia. She was squished....not a great pic, but thought I'd post it anyway.

27 Weeks 4 Days

27 weeks...kinda blurry, sorry.
27 weeks, 3 days.
I am still brave enough to do a bare belly. Marcia and Allison are always wanting bare belly pics.....here it is!
This is the only 3D image from today's u/s that really showed anything. Isn't he cute. This is Baby B. We go back next Wednesday for another 3D ultrasound, so hopefully we'll get the other two! Dr. appointment today went well. I gained three pounds, 1 1/2 of that went to the babies. Everything looked great! Here are the baby weights this week.

Baby A: 2 lb. 8 oz.
Baby B; 2 lb. 13 oz.
Baby C: 2 lb 10 oz.

So they're growing and we're all happy!

El Verano Crew

Maite, Louann, and Diane came to visit me on Wednesday and took me to dinner....it was great! We decided to all get into the new mini-van (yes, we bought a mini-van). I'm also sportin' my handicap placard. Don't judge....it's hard to walk! :)

26 weeks 3 days

26 weeks, 5 days pic

Hello all,
We had a dr. appointment today, and all went great! The babies are growing and my cervix is holding strong at 3.8. Anything over 3 is considered good according to my doctor. Once it falls below 2.5, I'm in a little more dangerous territory as far as these babies being ready to come. So baby weights as of today:

Baby A: 1 lb 14 oz
Baby B: 2 lb 7 oz
Baby C: 2 lb 1 oz

Average weights for this time in a singleton pregnancy are 1 lb 12 oz, give or take a few. So they are all doing well. Baby B is considered a VERY large baby at this point! The other two are close to average.

I am doing well...had some blood work done today and still waiting on the results of the gestational diabetes. I did get some results back that showed I am anemic, which is no big deal really. I'll just have to start taking iron supplements.

So that's it for us. We had a nice relaxing day after the doctor's appointment. Nate and I had lunch with his father, his cousin, Brett, and his fiance, Tracy. They just got engaged on Friday night....woohoo!!! After that Nate went back to work, and I went and laid in the pool (actually a cold hot tub) at Michael and Kate's....it was heaven!

Our next appointment is next Wednesday, so I'll update again next week. Have a great week!

This is our nephew and godson, AJ, who loves kissing my belly. Funny, most kids are scared by it!

Shower at Aunt Marcia's-June 2008

Here are some pics of our shower at my Aunt Marcia's house. It was a beautiful and perfect day. Thanks everyone!

Shower from Julia

Hello all.....since I've changed blog sites, I'm trying to update this one from the past couple of months. Sorry it's all out of order. Julia gave me a beautiful shower at Daniel's mom's house on July 29th. It was perfect. Here are a few pics.

Look how beautiful Julia looks. Hard to believe she has an infant daughter.
The middle picture is me eating a chocolate bar out of a diaper trying to guess what it was....it was a Butterfinger!
The third picture is of me with my friend Carrie, who is only a few days behind me with a singleton....I know....I look HUGE, especially next to her!

Again, you can click on the picture to make it bigger if it's too small for you!

Suzanne and Allison

My beautiful sister and cousin, Suzanne and Allison rubbing my belly. I think this was 19 or 20 weeks. I know I'm out of order....sorry! Just wanted to post this pic of us!

24 Weeks

Our last appointment was at 24 weeks. It showed the following baby weights:
Baby A: 1lb. 6oz. (sweet little girl)
Baby B: l lb 10 oz. (my chunky monkey)
Baby C: 1 lb. 7 oz. (mellow little boy)

WooHoo!!! Dr. was pleased with these weights, and says he won't let us go past 35 weeks, which puts the latest delivery date at October 11, 2008.

Our next appointment is August 11th....we get a 3D ultrasound.

Groth Shower

What a wonderful time we had on Sunday at our couples shower at Groth.Thank you Michael and Kate!!! Nate's Dad and Kate threw this shower for us, and it was beautiful and relaxing. We were able to hang out with friends and drink good wine and eat delicious food.....Thanks Denise! Everyone loved the food. Thank you to all our friends and family who attended. Like Nate said, we are so fortunate to have such a HUGE support system. We love you all!

By the way~if you're having a hard time seeing the picture because it's so small, you can click the bottom right hand corner on "scrapblog" and you can view it in a full screen. Just in case you don't have your glasses on!
