Bad night...good day

Hello all....well the last couple of days have been interesting. I debated on whether or not to put this information on the blog because I didn't want anyone to worry, but I've decided to put it on as it is part of this journey. Tuesday night after having strong pains and contractions, I called Labor and Delivery and they told me to come in to the hospital. My parents drove me and I called Nate on the way. I figured it was precautionary, so didn't think it was necessary for him to drive all the way to the hospital. He had other thoughts, and decided to come. Thank goodness he did. I realized I don't want to do any of this without him. It was a tough night and I was thankful he decided to come. He has a calmness to him and a way of calming me. I love you babe! Anyway, I was contracting every 6 minutes when I got there. After some testing and invasive exams, I was contracting every 3 minutes. I got hooked up to an IV for fluids, and was finally released at 12:30 in the morning. I couldn't get out of there fast enough! This doctor wanted to deliver these babies and I knew it wasn't time. So to say the least I will not be going back to the doctor unless I think it's an emergency. One GREAT thing that came out of this experience is the dr. took my platelet count and it is up to 132!!! YAY! It was down to 114 a month ago, and I was concerned because once it gets below 100 I have to have general anesthesia instead of a spinal. So that's the good news! I do have a picture that I may post later of me in the hospital, but it's kinda scary.....we'll see.

Today I am feeling well, and babies are doing great. We went to the doctor yesterday and all heartbeats look great. I'm contracting less, and the babies are HUGE! Here are the estimated baby weights this week. Of course these could be off by several ounces, but dr. thinks these babies are BIG.

Baby A: 5lb 7oz
Baby B: 5lb 10oz
Baby C: 6lbs (Whoo hoo!!!)

How scary! I'm glad everything was okay. Now, is the doctor by your parent's place the one delivering your or is it where Nate is? Sorry I'm confused! :)

So glad that you got released this AM. We miss you on BBC. I keep checking in here to see how you are doing. So exciting that you only have 8 more days and I can't believe how big all the babies are...sounds like they are doing great! Hoping you make it to the 11th.
